It’s all on me now. The billion-dollar company I just inherited from my late father. The public eye waiting for me to slip up. The pressure of keeping it all together.

At least there’s one bright spot in my life—my new assistant, Emma. My dream woman come to life if I didn’t know better.

It’s too bad the paparazzi would have a field day if they discovered something going on between us. I can’t afford for anything to jeopardize my new role as CEO of Bishop Industries.

Even if she is temptation personified.

– Emma –

It was supposed to be a simple assignment. Become Connor Bishop’s new assistant and convince him to buy my father’s company, Montague Media. So how do I do that? By any means necessary, according to my dad—including seduction. Otherwise, I lose everything.

But no one told me how hard it would be to seduce a billionaire who insists on acting like a perfect gentleman, especially when real feelings start to emerge. At what point do I stop the charade and tell him who I really am? Before or after I fall in love with him?

🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a great read.

Connor Bishop is not ready to be the CEO of his late father’s company but he doesn’t have a choice. He needs to focus and acclimatise to this new position and doesn’t need the distraction that his beautiful new assistant presents. Emma Shepherd got her job via a few pulled strings. She’s got a task to do, whether or not she likes it. What she didn’t bank on was the fierce attraction she feels towards her new boss, and the deeper feelings that develop as they get to know one another. All the while that they’re growing closer, she’s keeping a big secret from him.

”As our lips meet, everything in my world goes right again, the same way it did last night. The same way it does every time I’m around her.”

I really liked Connor and Emma. They were decent people who were both backed into a corner by their terrible fathers. I loved the connection and rapport that developed between them, as well as their intense sexual attraction to one another. The chemistry between them was hot and steamy. I felt helpless for Emma’s situation but was happy for her as she made new connections, in addition to her growing relationship with Connor. There was something so right about them being together. Connor was actually a sweet guy. His self-doubt about his new role was endearing, as we see the confident version of himself through Emma’s eyes. Overall, this was a solid read, likeable characters, sexy scenes and low angst.
