BLURB

Fresh off a plane from France, I was ready for a little reprieve.
After a wild night and a few too many drinks, I ended up in a hotel room with a complete stranger.

I didn’t think I’d ever see him again—boy, was I wrong.
Two days later, he walks into my dad’s office.

He was looking for the man in charge.
Instead, he found me—the boss’s daughter.
A few sly remarks about my family had me all too skeptical about revealing my identity.

It’s a good thing I held back,
because it seems he’s got an opinion about the Big Wig’s daughter, too.

Stuck-up.
High-strung.
Demanding.

So, I let him believe I was an employee, too.
A measly assistant with the curiosity of a cat.
At least, that’s what he thought.

Now I can find out why he’s painted this dark picture of my family.
And it’s time to show him that I’m more than a name in the rumor mill.

That’s all assuming I’m not exposed first.

Ruthless Rookie is a workplace romance inspired by Mister Moneybags.

Caroline's Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟

A great read - sexy, easy, low-angst story.

"This man tastes so good, like the sweetest sin. It's just one night and I'll never see him again."

Back on home soil, Mira Glasson heads to her favourite bar and meets gorgeous stranger, Sawyer Rhodes. One wildly sexy night and a false name later, they part ways thinking they'll never meet again. How wrong could they be when they come face to face at Mira's family business. Except he doesn't know who she really is.

"I hate the feeling of her on the verge of seeing my soul with just one look. I hate the way this girl makes me feel."

Overall, this was an enjoyable book. It's different from the style of this author's more recent books but I was hooked nonetheless. Mira is desperate to prove herself to her family and I was rooting for her all the way. Sawyer was carrying around a boatload of guilt from his past and seemed to be punishing himself by not moving on from his personal tragedy. He blew hot and cold but I liked that Mira gave him a new outlook on life and brought him happiness. This was an easy, sexy read that wasn't too angsty and I liked the resolution.
