Prodigal Son is part of the Marked Forever series which is a spinoff from the Marked Men series. These books can be read as a standalone, but I would suggest that you read both the original series and the previous book to this one, mainly because they are brilliant, but also because it gives you a lot of background information to the characters and the story.

This book focuses on Remy Archer (Cora and Rome's daughter from the book Rome) and Hyde Fuller (Zeb and Sayer's son from the book Built).

Remy and Hyde grew up as best friends, but after developing extremely strong feelings towards Hyde, and being rejected, Remy spiralled out of control and Hyde was told to give her space for her own good.

Years later, after pulling her life back together after being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, Remy and Hyde are reunited after Hyde comes home from the military, after finding himself a single father.

After such a long wait for these books, and apprehension that they wouldn’t do the first series justice, I shouldn’t have been worried at all! Jay writes such amazing, intense characters and keeps you hooked on every page, and Prodigal Son is no exception. The way the story deals with mental health matters so well and so sensitively written. I can't recommend these books enough.
