I really enjoyed this second-chance romance.

"Being around Violet brings out some primal, barbaric side of me. I want her, but since I can't have her, I end up acting like a giant asshole."

A year ago, Gavin Leonard blew his chance irrevocably with the girl of his dreams. Since then, Violet has actively hated on him. However, things reach a turning point when they find themselves on a camping trip together and unavoidably sharing a tent.

"She's so f*cking gorgeous, and she's here with me. I don't want to blink and miss a second of it."

Phew! The chemistry between Gavin and Violet was undeniable. I loved that Violet pretty much had his heart from the start. My heart melted at how hard he tried to be her friend and so much more. Violet struggled to let go of his betrayal but she was really invested in him and was so badly hurt. I really enjoyed the tentative rebuilding of their relationship, as well as the tangible connection between them. There were a couple of things about this story that I got hung up on, but that's just personal preference. Overall, a really enjoyable story with a sweet epilogue.
