RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: In a Jam by Kate Canterbary

In a Jam by Kate Canterbary is now live!

She's the one who got away. She just doesn't know it.

When Shay Zucconi’s step-grandmother died, she left Shay a tulip farm—under two conditions.

First, Shay has to move home to the small town of Friendship, Rhode Island. Second—and most problematic since her fiancé just called off the wedding—Shay must be married within one year.

Marriage is the last thing in the world Shay wants but she’ll do anything to save the only real home she’s ever known.

Noah Barden loved Shay Zucconi back in high school. Not that he ever told her. He was too shy, too awkward, too painfully uncool to ask out the beautiful, popular girl.

A lifetime later, Noah is a single dad to his niece and has his hands full running the family business. That old crush is the farthest thing from his mind.

Until Shay returns to their hometown and turns his life upside down.

Caroline's Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2

I thoroughly enjoyed this friends-to-lovers romance between old friends who find each other again.

"I was floating and melting and also buzzing with electricity. And Noah Barden was the cause of it."

Her late step-grandmother's tulip farm was a welcome reprieve for Shay Zucconi after her personal life fell apart. She was incredibly surprised to find Noah Barden at his family farm because they'd both vowed never to return to the small town. She's even more surprised to find Noah very different from the teenage boy who was her best friend. Plus, he's now the legal guardian of his delightfully precocious niece, Gennie. Imagine her shock when he also offers to help her claim her inheritance!

"I brushed my lips against hers, fast enough for our surroundings yet exactly enough to ruin my whole life."

Noah loved Shay when they were teenagers but he never thought he'd ever have a chance at anything more than friendship with her. They went their separate ways and never saw each other again, until years later when Shay comes back to Friendship to claim her inheritance. He has a lot of mixed feelings about Shay, but the more time they spend together, the more he realises that if Shay leaves again, it will be that much harder than before.

"Allow me to make myself clear. I don't give a pickled f*ck how or why we came to be married. You are my wife. If you need some fun, you'll call me."

Seriously, Shay was sweet, kind-hearted and crying out for family. Noah Barden was all kinds of hot, yet adorable at the same time. I couldn't think of two people more deserving of one another than these two. Shay and Noah saw the demise of their friendship from two very different perspectives, but I loved the adult versions of themselves and how they interacted with each other. Noah totally fascinated me. He was very different to the teenage boy that we caught glimpses of in the story - I loved his somewhat alpha ways but also that core of vulnerability that was left over from his teenage years. I adored the way he made Shay so desired and wanted, yet she was so caught up on her hang-ups about herself that she didn't realise that he was showing her in a thousand different ways, how much she meant to him. His niece was a complete hoot! LOL. She was a smart, foul-mouthed little character. So funny! This story was slow-burn, heartwarming and sexy. It melted my heart. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
