Blurb:

I haven't seen her in three years.

I haven't talked to her since the kiss.

So why am I on a plane, flying across the world to spend a week with her in Germany?

One word: Pops.

My life’s a mess.

My possible football career is hanging on by a thread.

I'm driving the roads of Germany in honor of Pops with the one girl I can never have.

And I’m sharing a bed with her, the girl I've measured everyone else up to, while desperately trying to not to touch her.

We made a pact growing up, never to get romantic with each other - never fall in love.

And I'm about to break that pact. For good.

5 love-in-the-gray stars!

This was a wonderful, funny, hugely romantic read!

”Even though he puts butterflies in my stomach, it’s his heart and friendship that matter more to me.”

Crew Smith has had a terrible season of college football but he’s been dealing with the death of his beloved Pops – or, not dealing with it, if truth be told. When he finds out that his late grandfather has arranged a special road trip holiday for him in Germany and that he’d have a mysterious travelling companion, he was thrilled to find out that it would be his childhood summer friend, Hazel Allen. He hasn’t seen Hazel in four years and she’s a sight for sore eyes. At each stage of their road trip, with letters from Pops as their guide, they not only discover new places and adventure, but they rediscover their old, cherished friendship, as well as venture beyond the friend zone.

”My heart is racing. And my body is aching for more. So much more. I can’t stop staring at her lips and wondering how they might taste.”

This was a captivating read! I loved Crew and Hazel’s relationship – their easy friendship and obvious affection for one another. Hazel is such an adorable, quirky character – I loved her sass and irreverence! They paths in life don’t appear to converge, so in spite of the huge sexual chemistry between them and the love they have for one another, there was also emotional angst as they tried to figure out a future where they would both be happy. I absolutely loved their road trip and I must say that I would love to do exactly the same vacation as they had. It was magical, romantic and such fun. A truly fantastic read!
