RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Blame It on the Champagne by Fiona Cole

Blame It On the Champagne by Fiona Cole is now live!

There's only one thing to do when you wake up, married to your brand new boss, whom you hate but can't resist: You blame the champagne.

I blame the bubbles for my wild night with a masked stranger.

Who cares if it's nothing this good girl would normally do--with a man that turns out to be my horrible boss?

Who cares that I'm promised to someone else?

I blame the alcohol for agreeing to marry him.

As long as my new husband keeps his mouth shut, I can survive five years of our little arrangement. It's too late for anything else.

But our impromptu wedding leads to so much more than I bargained for. His dirty promises warm me. His kisses make me lightheaded. His respect slips past my best defenses. The hate turns to friendship, and makes me dream of more. He's like the most dangerous kind of champagne.

That's why I blame him for making me fall in love with him.

But when I find out our marriage was nothing more than revenge, what's to blame for my broken heart?

Brilliant read! Absolutely loved all the delicious tension!

”This was crazy. We were in the middle of a lobby after literally colliding, and everything around us ceased to exist.”

Verana Mariano was raised in a family that is steeped in tradition, including an arranged marriage. Ambitious and smart, she’s desperate to be part of the family business in a way that is more than being a trophy wife, especially not to a man who is almost twice her age. When she boldly applies for a job in another company under an assumed name, no one could foresee the chain of events that this action sets off.

”When she lifted her eyes to mine, something I’d never seen before – from any woman – hit me hard. A look I couldn’t identify but felt like kerosene to the warmth in my chest.”

Nicholas Rush has worked hard to get his company to where it is today and nothing will deter him from his quest for revenge. However, he never planned for Verana or her effect on him. They get off on completely the wrong foot when a misunderstanding and rash conclusions has him behaving in a negative manner toward her. When he finally realises who Verana actually is, it drives him to make a snap decision. One that will help, not only Verana, but also his own personal vendetta. But, at what cost?

”I’m going to mark you, Verana. I’ll fill you with all I have, come where I want on you. I’ll make you mine.”

This was an addictive read! Vera and Nico were a well-matched couple. They were both ambitious, stubborn and passionate. I loved the scorching tension between them – their attraction was electric! You could see the car crash of a climax waiting to happen as the story unfolded but it was a fantastic ride. Vera just wanted to be seen and respected for herself, and Nico…I loved watching his determination break down in the face of his feelings for Vera. Together, they were incredible hot and I loved Nico’s dirty mouth! I absolutely adored Vera’s BFFs, Nova and Raelynn. They were a solid trio who had each other’s backs and really made me laugh. Can’t wait for the other stories.
