RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: A Gorgeous Villain by Saffron A. Kent

Title: A GORGEOUS VILLAIN
Author: Saffron A. Kent
Release Date: June 3

BLURB

Two years ago, Reed Jackson betrayed Calliope Thorne and broke her heart. So she stole his most prized possession – a white mustang – and drove it into the lake for revenge.

Now, Callie is stuck at a reform school while Reed is off at college, living his life without repercussions.

Until he comes back.

With him comes back all the feelings that Callie has been trying to bury: anger and heartbreak.

But most of all, desire. At the sight of his beautiful but lying lips and his gunmetal gray eyes that still taunt and smolder when he looks at her.

Whatever though. It's not as if Callie is ever going to fall for her ex-boyfriend again. Or let him corner her in a bar one night and touch her, kiss her…

Neither is she going to kiss him back. Or worse, sleep with him.

Because that would make her naΓ―ve and foolish.

Oh, and also pregnant.

And there's no way Callie is ever going to get pregnant at eighteen and with Reed's baby, no less. The guy she hates.

The guy who taught her all about heartbreak. Who might look like a gorgeous hero but really is the villain of her story.

NOTE: This story is a standalone and does not contain cheating.

Gah!! I loved this story so much!

”I don’t know what I see in his gaze but whatever it is makes my heart spin in my chest. Makes it race and pound and squeeze.”

Callie Thorne has a forbidden crush on her brother's enemy, Reed Roman Jackson. She's a good girl - a talented ballerina headed for Julliard. With four older brothers keeping constant tabs on her, it's hard to be anything else but good. However, when she makes a new friend who turns out to be Reed's sister, she's persuaded to secretly attend one of Reed's famous parties. It's a night that will change the course of her life.

”He’s touching me so possessively, like how a sculptor touches their creation maybe, with authority, with a sense of ownership.”

Reed is a soccer god with a reputation as a hothead and player, but from the moment he and Callie cross paths, he’s totally fascinated by her. He’s abrasive, possessive, and commanding. Callie is well and truly caught up in him until he shatters her heart, leading her to making bad choices. When their paths cross again two years later, she once again makes choices that lead to another life-changing circumstance.

”I had a taste of my Fae and she’s been in my system ever since. She’s been running in my veins, my bloodstream and I’ve got no way to purge her.”

This story was angsty, dirty, and really quite emotional. Reed is an enigma. There’s so much more going on with him than what’s on the surface. He’s smart, incredibly intense and makes things happen. We think he’s the villain in this story but he’s quite the opposite. I loved everything about him. HE OWNED ME! Callie is weak where he’s concerned. When she tries to be tough with him, he inadvertently keeps showing his fairy, his Fae, that he deserves her love. And, God! The things he did for her. So swoonworthy! I adored her sweet, good girl heart but also her bad girl attitude when she was with Reed. They were so good for one another – they balanced each other out. This was a such a fabulous story and definitely on my Top Read 2021 list.
