BOOK BLURB

Rule #1: Don’t fall in love with your best friend.

Tally Kerr broke Rule #1 over a decade ago—a mistake that ended in the worst way possible.

Rule #2: Don’t date an artist.

Tally recently broke Rule #2, and the artist broke up with her. The consequence? She’s stuck curating a three-week exhibit for the jerk, and the only thing worse than dealing with him and his new girlfriend are the pity looks from the other artists.

So, she calls in a favor from her former best friend.

Sam Deschenes didn’t expect to see Tally again. And he knows he’s to blame. So when she says she’s coming to town and needs his help, Sam can’t say no—not even when she asks him to be her pretend boyfriend.

Tally wants nothing more than to forget Arizona, which is why this charade is critical. She’ll replace all her memories with fake ones and prove she never really loved Sam.

As the days tick by, remembering Arizona—and all the reasons she fell for her best friend—come too easily. When their scorching desire incinerates the line between real and fake, will Tally keep up the act or will she break rule number one all over again?

5 You-and-Me-stars! I really loved this story!

”And, as afraid as I was of being left behind, the thought of being left heartbroken was a thousand times worse.”

Tally Kerr and Sam Deschenes had the most beautiful of friendships. A friendship that spanned ten years of summers together in Bisbee, Arizona, when Sam would stay with his mother, who was Tally's neighbour. Then Sam would go back to live with his father until he returned the following summer. As they grew older, Tally knew that she wanted more from Sam and is devastated when he not only wants just her friendship, but once he was eighteen, he never returned to Bisbee. They never fulfilled their dreams together. He left her with just one final promise that he would owe her.

”It definitely meant nothing that for the first time in a decade, I remembered Arizona – I remembered him. And it felt like I was finally coming home.”

Ten years later, Tally is back in Bisbee and calling in the favour. Unfortunately, no matter how much she tries to keep her heart out of their arrangement, familiarity, friendship and intense attraction makes it very difficult not to cross the line. Plus, there’s so much she doesn’t know – truths that will change everything she thought she knew about the past.

”You were always mine.”

I was totally immersed in Tally and Sam's story. Sam is 100% swoonworthy. He was such an honourable guy who always looked out for other people and always did the right thing - even if it seemed wrong at the time. The connection and tension between them was visceral and deliciously drawn out until they came together with so much passion and heat. Tally fought pretty hard to keep herself distant but Sam’s physicality, his tenderness and sweetness just brought those barriers crashing down. Their story was heartbreaking, tense, funny and joyful. Loved it!
