What an amazing, emotional read! This was a story about split decisions, the choices we make, and the possible fate that awaits us. There was wonder, pain, joy, and moments of such beautiful tenderness. I absolutely loved it.

Caleb Hunt is a workaholic and an adrenaline junkie. He doesn’t want to slow down or get stuck in a relationship with a woman who doesn’t understand him, or where his priorities lay.

”When I’m with you, I’m not afraid of the ground beneath my feet, and I’m not terrified of falling.”

Whitney Scott is a dedicated nurse whose past has her stuck in a cycle. She has worldly dreams but no time to follow them, as she tends to work during many of her waking hours.

When these two meet, there is an instant connection, and what grows between them is fast, deep and certain. I loved their rapport, their empathy, their chemistry. I loved how they cared for one another and the thoughtful things they did for the other. My heart soared at their happiness and hurt like hell for their emotional distress. I’ve never read a story like this before – it’s pretty unique (although the premise reminds me of an old Gwyneth Paltrow film). This is a new-to-me author and I thought this book was well-written and stunning in its idea and delivery. Thoroughly recommend!
