Picking up from the first book, Stroke of Midnight, we see Winston trying to keep his emotions distant from Ash, yet craving her at the same time. His common sense and a couple of people close to him tell him that she has no place in his life, yet he can’t let her go. She’s like a drug – an addiction he can’t quit. Ash has come through her ordeal with the Terror Triplets but she’s keeping a secret from Win. It’s a secret that could cost her a chance of something real with Win.

Gaaaahh! Aside from all the kinky stuff they do, Ash and Win are actually delightful together. They have fantastic rapport and I adored their banter and Ash’s sassiness. Ash really knows how to manage him and get under his skin. Win! Poor Win! He’s almost helpless in the face of his desire for her – he’s also extremely protective and possessive of her. That man is absolutely refusing to acknowledge what’s in front of his face and plain for everyone else to see. She is truly his Achilles heel – the light and heat in his icy heart. I enjoyed her exuberance, smartness and confidence. And, those Terror Triplets! They are such evil boys and I crowed at their comeuppance. An exhilarating, super sexy, amusing second instalment to this trilogy and absolutely gagging for the final book!
