When Autumn Winters meets Zac Ledger at her sister's wedding, she doesn't know he's the darling of the NFL. All she knows is that they've got an attractive vibe going on, even if he isn't the type she normally goes for. Unfortunately, when she overhears him saying sweet nothings into his phone, she writes him off as another lousy cheat. When he insists on hiring her to renovate and refurb his new home, she'd planned on putting him in his place, however, between his house and the truth, she finds herself committing to the project. However, keeping her distance is hard work, especially when she falls in love with his adorable little girl and his family, as well as letting the man himself creep under her skin and into her heart.

Autumn had a lot of issues stemming from her childhood, as well as her disastrous relationships. However, I adored Zac and how he kept proving to her what a wonderful man he was - a perfect dad, a thoughtful son, a solid team player, and just a fantastic all round human being. That guy made me swoon hard!! Their chemistry was undeniable but Autumn tended to be all over the place because she kept second guessing everything. I enjoyed the close, supportive relationship she had with her sister, Summer, and their mother. All three came across as pretty strong women. Zac's family were wonderful - I loved how much they all loved each other and welcomed Autumn into their midst, knowing how unusual it was for Zac to show more than a passing interest in anyone. His little girl, Ivy, was flippin' adorable! I loved her enthusiasm and zest for life. She recognised something special in Autumn straightaway and I was in love with their instant connection, and how Autumn worked hard to communicate with her and make her happy. Such a wonderful, heartmelting, sexy read. My first time reading this author and I'm looking forward to discovering more of her books.
