This was a delightful read!

Justine MacDermott is a spunky little spitfire as she faces off with gorgeous newcomer, Garrett Harrington. The initial attraction she felt towards him is dampened by the fact he's spearheading a new development right on her doorstep. However, as time goes on, there's an engaging push-and-pull between them as Justine feeds the crusade against his plans, while trying to ignore her growing feelings for Garrett.

"We've crossed a forbidden line where we've both unraveled beneath the other's touch, and there's no turning back."

I really liked Garrett - he was patient, pretty even-tempered, and charming. He put up with a lot from Justine! She was carrying a very real hurt that nurtured the huge dent to her self-esteem caused by her break-up. For someone so confident, she was pretty vulnerable at her core. However, I adored her crass humour and the way she liked to rib people. Things didn't really heat up between Justine and Garrett until about halfway through the story, but it was worth the wait! This story was humorous, sexy and heartwarming.
