Release Date: January 10

From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of the Rixon Raider series comes a brand new sports romance series. Lakeshore U, where hockey is religion, and the players are gods. Are you ready to fall in love with a Laker?

When Dayna Benson moves home, she doesn’t expect to feel so torn. On the one hand, she’s glad to be back in Dupont Beach. But it means parting ways with her boyfriend and facing ghosts she thought she’d left behind.

Enter Aiden Dumfries.

Arrogant. Angry. With enough attitude to freeze over Lake Erie, he’s determined not to let anyone help him.

When he finds himself exiled to the small coastal town after a scandal that could ruin his hockey career before it gets started, his plans for summer break are dashed.

He’s Lakeshore U’s bad boy on the ice. She’s sunshine, smiles, and something that feels a lot like hope.

But can Dayna melt Aiden’s heart?

Or will she end up burned?

* Ice Burn is a standalone introductory novel set in the Lakeshore U series.

🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a fab, easy read!

"It was just a little kiss, freckles. Don't get your panties in a twist."

Dayna Benson has returned to Dupont Beach with mixed feelings. She's been yearning to go home after four long years away, but memories haunt her return. Having her boyfriend of eight months, Josh, in tow also makes her face up to the fact that she's been hiding from everything that happened back home. Aiden Dumfries has basically been exiled to Dupont Beach. Dogged by his father's terrible reputation, he's the bad boy of college hockey and his future is on the line if he doesn't clean up his act. When Dayna and her boyfriend part ways, she's not looking to jump into anything new, and Aiden is definitely not boyfriend material. However, there's no denying the electricity in the air whenever they're in each other's vicinity.

"Hating the way he made me feel. The way my heart raced in my chest, wild and untamed. How my skin burned right where he touched me."

This story was a pretty quick read. I enjoyed Dayna and Aiden's characters. They had chemistry and spark. Aiden was a total player and kept everyone at arm's length. His anger issues were putting his future on the line. I loved how Dayna snuck under his skin and made him want more and be better. Dayna was still grieving the loss of her older brother but staying away from home meant she avoided everything and everybody she loved. Her relationship with Josh was like a Band-Aid over her emotional wounds. The author called this novel an 'introductory' one and I felt that it really was. It only took me about a couple of hours to read this and the storyline moved quickly. It was sexy, humorous, and a little angsty. We caught a glimpse of the character from the next book, which promises to be a doozy. Can't wait for it!
