Caroline's Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐

“There’s an electric charge between Kennedy and me that I can’t explain, but I’ve felt it since the moment I laid eyes on her.”

Kennedy Barnes grew up with a prominent father who was often absent. She lived a life where she felt like a dirty secret. Now she continues to live a secret life working for a black ops intelligence agency. A life where a relationship is almost impossible.

Phoenix ‘Nix’ Ash is a computer hacker, and he lives a mainly solitary life. He lives a life where secrecy is key. A life where a relationship is almost impossible.

“It’s a dangerous game we’re playing, and we both know it. Maybe that’s part of the infatuation and need we feel for each other. It’s fueled by anger, uncertainty, distrust, but definitely attraction.”

There’s no denying their mutual attraction when they meet. Nix is Kennedy’s target. Nix just wants her in his bed. But, there are too many secrets between them, and neither can afford to make any mistakes.

This was a real cat-and-mouse story. There was mystery, intrigue, danger, and a tonne of chemistry. It was a sexy read with a great plot.
