Kale Bryant was happy being a workaholic doctor, leading the bachelor life, and satisfying his needs with casual flings. The first time he sees Harley Hope Masterson, he nearly trips over himself. He's completely knocked out by her. However, she's not interested whatsoever.
"He looked like discord. Chaos with an easy, arrogant smile. A perfect, controlled disaster."
Hope lives for her son. She has a complicated life and is focused on running her coffee shop with her bestie, and looking after her special-needs son. She can't afford entanglements of any kind - even with sexy, god-like specimens like Kale.

Gaaaaaaaah!! This book! As with the first book in this series, this one had all the feels straight off the bat. It is high-impact stuff! Full of emotion, sexiness, and drama. I absolutely adored it!

Kale is so freakin' gorgeous! He's cocky but so understanding and empathetic. I loved how he had hardly any control over his actions when it came to Hope. He absolutely won me over with his love of the little people in this novel - his adoration of Frankie Leigh and his immediate connection and fondness for Evan. But his fears - gosh, they made him so vulnerable, so human, so real.
"You feel so good. You make me want things I know I shouldn't ask you for."
Hope is a fighter. She's a fantastically strong female character. I loved the risks she took to be with Kale, even though they might jeopardise her entire situation. She knows she can't afford to let her guard down but I loved how Kale breached her defences.
This was an immensely emotive novel. It was full of humour, pathos, sizzling hotness, and heart-melting goodness. I loved it hard!
