She’s hated me since high school…
Francesca “Frankie”
Archer is the smart mouthed rich girl who worked her way into my heart back in high
school. Our one date turned into a nightmare and we’ve been at each other’s
throat since. Now, she’s a sex club owning hottie who still looks better
in shorts and a tshirt than any woman should.
We need to be civil
to each other as co-best men standing up for our best friend at his
wedding. How hard can that be? But old feelings, a few
cocktails and shared hotel suite later and I’m touching her in ways no other
man has.
In the light of day,
she’s ready to chalk it up to a drunken one night stand, but I’m not ready to
end things just as they are beginning again. Maybe I can convince her, if I can
show her everything I’ve learned since we’ve been apart. I know she’ll look
amazing with the soft ropes crisscrossed across her body.
Mr. Wicked is a
55,000 word second chance, accidental pregnancy romance. It features a
sassy sex club owner, sweet and sexy bondage enthusiast and a heaping
helping of steamy nights.
Caroline's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a new-to-me author and I really enjoyed this story.
"He was the enemy. He was a man who couldn't be trusted. A man who stole something from me that I'd never been able to get back in all the years since our first dance. My heart."
In their senior year of high school, Frankie Archer and John 'Grim' Grimsby went to a school dance together. She was the dorky, rich girl-geek. He was the poor, scholarship football star. She liked him. He liked her. They had the perfect night together. But school gossip and mutual misconceptions drove a wedge between them.
"She was the dream I'd been telling myself to forget about for the past ten years. To stay away or I'd get burned...I wanted her fire to consume me."
They spent the next ten years swapping sharp barbs, avoiding and hating the other. But they shared a best friend. One who was getting married and they were co-best men. Surely Frankie could survive the weekend in his company?
This was a fun, sexy story. I really liked both characters, but sad that they were at loggerheads for so many years due to their insecurities and other people's meanness. I liked that under the sharp banter, there was mutual attraction, and genuine mutual care for the other. There was a certain darkness to both their lives, and a vulnerability that was endearing and made my heart ache for them both. I loved how they both put themselves on the line and finally got their sweet reward.
