Review: Endurance by Amy Daws

Endurance

Endurance by Amy Daws

Tanner Harris has been busy shagging his way through the ladies of east London, but getting caught by the paparazzi buck-naked with his trouser snake in his hands means he’s sowed his last wild oat.

Dr. Belle Ryan once thought Tanner Harris was the perfect kind of bearded bad boy she needed to relieve a bit of stress after her intense job as a surgical fellow, but an icy cold rejection from London’s sluttiest footballer puts the two at each other’s throats.

Fate and a favour conspire to put Tanner and Belle back in each other’s paths and they’re forced to do a lot more than get along to save face and their careers.

Rage turns to passion and tempers run sizzling hot when they realise they aren’t just falling for each other—they’re jumping head first. And neither have the endurance to keep their hands to themselves.

Wow where do I start! Firstly if you haven't read anything by the fabulous Amy Daws yet, then why the heck not? Amy is an American writing stories based in London and when you think about it that way you could easiest think that that wouldn't work but it does!

Endurance is a Harris Brothers novel and follows on from the first book Challenge although it can be read as a standalone without any problems. This instalment follows the explosive relationship between professional footballer Tanner Harris and doctor Belle Ryan! A pair that from the outside shouldn't fit together at all but on the inside are perfect for each other!

After his brother Camden left to play for a different football club, Tanner finds himself spiralling out of control and causing lots of grief publicity wise and sees himself suspended from his club, however in the process he drags Belle with him when she is photographed picking him up in suspicious circumstances. This starts them both on the road of 'faking' a relationship to improve publicity for both of them and their families. But just how far can they fake things?

Amy has officially knocked it out the park with this book! Belle and Tanner are explosive in so many ways! I found myself laughing so hard in places and wanting to knock their heads together in others. I have never read another book where the characters are so well suited...but shouldn't be!

I cannot recommend this book enough! Or well Amy! She's is an amazing writer and an amazing person and one of the nicest authors I have had the pleasure of meeting!

Ooh Amy, you knocked it out the park. This was a funny, lovely, sweet story.
Two people who shouldn’t work, but do.
They have a unique relationship, we already got a glimpse of Tanner and Belle in Camden and Indie’s story.
Belle is a firecracker, with a heart of gold, and a very important job but has learned to enjoy her life with the help of her bestie, Indie.
Tanner, cocky, rugged, handsome jerk! who takes his time with real life, scary things?
The met through Camden and Indie, causing Tanner to make a monumental decision, not to mess things up with Camden and Indie, by having her as a notch on his bedpost. Even though Belle had the hots for Tanner, she did not understand how they  went from flirty to ice-bucket cold!
His philandering, love ‘em and leave ‘em ways were constantly getting him into trouble, thinking he was exempt from the Manager’s wrath (who was also Tanner’s Dad) but, nope, Tanner was as shocked as the others!
Tanner then comes up with a hare-brained scheme, which has everybody agreeing with the façade.
I detested Belle’s father, personal gain was all that mattered, and not for Belle but for him.
Their whole situation was not ideal, but I was willing them to work it out.
Belle and Tanner had a very fiery, tempestuous relationship, and it should have failed at the first hurdle, but their very strong, very independent personalities would not let either of them go down without a fight.
It was lovely getting to catch up with Reyna and Liam, and seeing what their futures hold.
Ahh, Vi and Hayden loved these two and their new addition, cute little Rocky, Adrianne she is going to have a fierce network of aunties and uncles in her life.
My heart about melted with how Tanner and Belle worked together where Sedgewick was concerned, and I feel there is a helluva lot more to his backstory. Interesting novella in the future?
Tanner and Belle’s relationship had a few dips and curves but they worked through each kink with veracious effort.
I loved how spontaneous they both are, and how they dealt with the a**hole that was Belle’s father, during the charity dinner for Belle’s medical work on the babies.

I loved how it all came too, and Frank’n’Beans putting in an appearance, what a naughty man he is, but stomach hurting funny.
The fun run was certainly that ‘fun’ after the Harris Brothers donned their costumes. NEED VISUALS!!!!!!!
Great story, love sneaking through the coldest of hearts and making a difference. This will have you going through a myriad of emotions: tears, laughter, joy, happiness and sadness. A great page turner.
